The past days upgrades are made to several regional networks in The Netherlands. KPN is upgrading the regional and national networks during CET after midnight timeframes, and primarily in the weekends.
In generic these interruptions take a few minutes up to maximum one hour, and latest gone during early mornings.

A major power-failure at the largest network hub in the Netherlands, the NIKHEF, has caused VoIP connection failures for our customers. No phone calls were possible for about 12% of our customers. The downtime started around 21.05 and lasted till 22.00 for about 8%, and 23.10 for the remaining 4% of our customers.

Today Vovone has opened it’s new backup VoIP Hub and ASP farm in the Data-center at Steenbergen, the Netherlands. The Hub in Capelle a/d IJssel has been discontinued due ongoing power and netwerk failures.
Due a unknown failure in the KPN backbone network, about 18% of our customers may experience problems connecting their trunks to the Vovone VoIP Hubs. Although the Vovone VoIP Hubs are on redundant networks and geographical wide spread locations, some customers are depending on KPN for the ‘last mile’ to their network.
